Yorkshire roof windows provided an excellent service with the installation of two replacement velux windows in our attic bedroom here in York. Tom is an excellent communicator and always returns calls promptly and gives up to date information as to the time framework that is planned. Our windows created many problems which Tom overcame with tenacity and innovation. His staff are lads who you are happy to have in your home. Top drawer.

Tom and the guys at Yorkshire windows supplied and fitted two new velux windows with built in blinds to replace the old ones in our dormer bungalow in Market Weighton. Everything went exactly as Tom had described and we are delighted with the finished article. They have transformed two scruffy spare rooms into two very nice guest rooms. Thank you Tom , Pete and Luke.

I would highly recommend Yorkshire Roof Windows. Tom was very helpful and kept us well informed both before and whilst our window was fitted. The fitters were excellent both friendly and worked extremely hard, they left the job clean and tidy and explained clearly how to use our new window. Very satisfied. My husband and I are really pleased with the replacement velux window and blind which was installed by Yorkshire Roof Windows. The finished result far exceeds my expectations; it looks great! The service we received throughout was also exceptional. The initial quote was turned around really quickly, we were kept up to date with when to expect the work to be done and the guys who fitted it were friendly and left the room they worked in spotless when they’d finished. I’m hugely impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company. Mrs Heath, High Catton

Identifying Your VELUX Window Model

To ensure accurate replacement, locate the product code on your VELUX window:

• Location: Open the window and find the data plate on the top edge of the sash.
• Details: The code typically starts with letters like GGL, GPL, or GGU, followed by numbers/letters indicating the model and size.

If you’re unable to locate the code, measuring the internal frame dimensions can help us identify the correct replacement glass for VELUX windows

Addressing Shattered or Broken Glazing

In some instances, VELUX windows manufactured between 1997 and 2003 may experience spontaneous glass breakage due to specific defects. These cases might be covered under a product recall, and VELUX may arrange a free replacement if your window qualifies. You can check your pane’s eligibility here.

If your window isn’t covered under the recall, Yorkshire Roof Windows is here to provide prompt and professional services for replacing VELUX glass, ensuring your window’s integrity is fully restored.
